I’m MacBain, a drummer with more than 25 years of experience and a deep love for rhythm in all its forms. Over the years I’ve developed a “musical chameleon” approach — moving effortlessly between rock, funk, jazz, punk, drum & bass, and everything in between.

My teaching style is relaxed, fun, and completely focused on the goals of the individual. I believe lessons should be exciting and personal, guiding each drummer toward what they truly need to grow — whether that’s learning from books, songs, techniques, or improvisation. I teach all ages from complete beginners to intermediate players looking to grow and  advanced players looking to sharpen specific skills.

Lessons take place at my home studio in St George/Speedwell, Bristol, featuring a beautiful Yamaha acoustic kit and a Roland e-kit — perfect for exploring all styles and sounds.
